Every bottle of Lanson available in Gault&Millau’s toque-rated restaurants

Posted inUAE Champagne Index

One of the world’s oldest Champagne houses, Lanson was initially founded in 1760 by magistrate, François Delamotte, with a focus on export markets. The house remained family-owned until 1980, after which it changed hands numerous times before being purchased by Lanson-BCC group 2006 which, under the leadership of Bruno Paillard, also owns the champagne house of the same name.

Today, Lanson’s vintages are primarily produced using Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes, sourced from more than 500 hectares in Reims. Its bottles carry the Coat of Arms of the British Royal Family, whose appointment the house retains.
