Krug

Founded in 1843 as a family business, the Krug Champagne House produces only prestige cuvées from its base in Reims. Today, the house is majority-owned by LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton SE, though the Krug family retains a key role.

The house’s library of nearly 150 reserve wines vintages are produced in small numbers in oak barrels using all three Champagne varieties in their wines, Chardonnay, Pinot noir, and Pinot Meunier. The house owns more than 30% of the vineyards that produce its wines.

Krug produces all of its bottles using only vintage Champagne, with some bottles containing a blend of vintages from different years. Such bottles are marked in this Index as either MV (multi-vintage) or, where declared, by their edition number.
