Established in 1954 by Jacques Selosse, this small-scale, family-run business in Avize, Côte de Blancs, is currently managed by Anselme Selosse, Jacques’ son.
It is one of the few Champagne producers whose wines have a strong Burgundy influence, thanks to oak barrel ageing.
The property has close to eight hectares of vines in the crus of Avize, Cramant, Oger, Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, Ay, Mareuil-sur-Aÿ and Ambonnay. Some of the vines can be dated back to 1922, with most more than 55 years old.
For the past twenty years, the Selosse family has developed its own system of viticulture following no set method, instead adapting to the circumstances confronted throughout the growing season.
There are over 70,000 Chardonnay vine stocks and 9,500 Pinot Noir vine stocks.
